Bienvenidos Meli

We warmly welcome Melikhan Aktas in our lab. Meli is an ERASMUS+ student from Türkiye, who joined one of our research projects in the beginning of September. Together with Estefi, he will work until February on the tripartite interaction of bacteria, fungi, and plants in arsenite, As(III), tolerance. Both the bacteria and the fungi were collected in mining wastelands in the Sierra of Guadarrama and represent part of a collaborative project of our group with the labs of Natalia González Benítez and María Carmen Molina Cobos of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
